244/366: the daydreamer

244/366: the daydreamer

Taking a few minutes to drift away during the work day goes a long way in helping to keep me sane.

206/366: a day's work

I had one of those days in the studio that reminded me of why I love what I do.

156/366: curled

156/366: curled

*Phew* finally got one that I wanted to post tonight. Sometimes what seems like a simple idea can wind up taking the most time to achieve.

This pose isn't what I was thinking of at the beginning of the session, but it's what managed to work

99/366: clean

99/366: clean

...Now that I'm clean
You know what I mean
I've broken my fall
Put an end to it all
I've changed my routine
Now I'm clean...

70/366: cake for two

70/366: cake for two

We didn't have cake to celebrate our six months of marriage on Friday, but we enjoyed some tonight.

It's white chocolate raspberry mousse cake from the Pink Rose Pastry Shop. This was the same cake we had as our wedding cake. Very good. It's become our default special celebration cake.

3/366: pen and paper

3/366: pen and paper, originally uploaded by tilaneseven.

I've kept a paper journal since I was about 17 or so. There are years where I've written every day and several times a day and there are also huge gaps where entries are months apart.

I discovered Livejournal around 2000 or so and have been writing there pretty regularly over the years. Still, putting pen to paper, watching letters form from the ink, scratching out mistakes and sometimes doodling on the pages still feels special to me. Plus, there are things I write in my paper journal that are just for me and never make it beyond those pages.
